Dan Graves, MSL and Seven Novels
Dan Graves (shown here in his library/study) took his degree in librarianship from Western Michigan University. He served as a librarian for over 19 years. The author of many books and web articles, he has also built web sites.
Seven Novels is his personal choice of books he would take with him to a desert island if he were allowed only seven works of fiction. (If the choice were non-fiction, he would have a much harder time making a similar list!)
Selecting just seven books was tough. The English language is rich in fiction. In selecting these seven, he had to turn down many others that he treasures. These include Conrad's Typhoon, Doyle's Hound of the Baskervilles, Elizabeth Gaskell's Wives and Daughters, and many others. Click the "Readings" tab to see more of the choices he passed over.
