Some Web Sites by Dan
The principle site on which I work today is the Christian History Institute and Torchlighters site, which is designed and implemented as a content management system, adapting WordPress software for the purpose. A special feature is the flyout menu.
This is a storage site I built from scratch for Center Self Storage. It has a number of nice features, including a cycling image of the storage units and a dynamic map showing how to find the location.
At one time I built and maintained this, an earlier version of Christian History Institute now known as Glimpses of Christian History. The underlying art work was by Warren Kramer. The Christianity Today group now owns and maintains the site, but, despite the name change they’ve kept a good bit of the functionality and layout as I designed it. Please note, I also researched and wrote the majority of the daily calendar stories.
Although not my design, I did some clean up of the code at this YMCA site and streamlining of its content. I also built a back entrance through which the owners can update the pages. The back entrance employs php/mysql.
Captive Faith was a quick site developed entirely in css/html/php. It contains narratives of Christians imprisoned for their faith.
Stevedore Boat is another example of a content management system I developed using WordPress software. dsgraves.com
